Ashley Bridals- Salt Lake City Wedding Photographer
Ashley was such an easy going bride to work with. Their family is awesome and so fun! She wanted the fall colors so we went up little cottonwood canyon here in salt lake city, ut and were able to find some amazing colors and light.
She also wanted to surprise her groom with baseball pictures. She told me this so I started brainstorming how to make this work. I think what we came up with was fun and really got to showcase their style and easy going nature.
Their wedding was last friday, so stay tuned for future pictures of that wonderful day! Congrats to Ashley and Ozzie, you looked beautiful that day.

wedding checklist
This is a 4 month wedding checklist, but here are a few links to 12 month lists. I know planning a wedding can be stressful and you might want to throw in the towel at some point, but rest assured there is a fabulous ending to the madness. Take a breather when you get stressed and remember why you wanted to marry him or her in the first place. Have a good time and plan things together.

Draper Temple wedding
This was such a gorgeous day! The sun was out and the wind was a little brisk. The bride and groom were just glowing! We had about 30 minutes to work with the bride and groom before they had to go, but were able to get some wonderful shots. Such a fun couple! Second shooting with Morgan Leigh. Had a great time!

Thankful
Amidst the holiday season, I just want to express my thankfulness of what means the most in my life. We all have those things that we have to do (ie. work, clean up the kitchen, take out the trash etc. etc. etc.), but let us remember all the good things as well.
-Family- my kids and hubby are why I do what I do
-a good job
-transportation- cause let's face it, without my van, we aren't going anywhere:)
-my faith in Jesus Christ
-food to eat (thanksgiving has lots of good food)
-Freedom
-Education- i'm so thankful my parents were supportive of my efforts and celebrated my triumphs.
-Parents who taught me what was right and helped me grow (love you mom and dad)
-People- all the wonderful people i've met and continue to meet. I love that we are all different and can gain something from each other.
Make a list of what you're thankful for. It helps us put things into perspective.
Here are my reasons for living.

Winter Weddings
Most brides tend to prefer the spring/summer wedding, but there are some advantages to getting married in those cold winter months.
I think the biggest advantage would be that it's usually less crowded at the venues with other brides getting married that day and that family can usually come and also enjoy the holidays with you as well. 13% of weddings occur in the winter with 11% as christmas weddings.
Now, if you're getting married after the holidays, that's even better because it's something to look forward to during those winter months. For myself, January and February are months when not a whole lot is going on. I love the snow and all, but lets face it... it's COLD:) My kids are cooped up in the house and we're thinking of stuff to do, but when there's a wedding in the winter it's something fantastic to look forward to:)
Plus, if it's cold outside it gives you a chance to snuggle up close to your honey even more:) who doesn't want that as a newlywed??:)
Enough talk, here are some links to some great websites so you can get your winter wedding inspiration.
